Two men from Breckenridge were arrested on Monday in Abilene in connection of the robbery of an Abilene man.

Breckenridge Police Chief Larry Mahan said Eric Lang, 21 and Toby Scurlock, 19 stole a car in Breckenridge on April 25 and drove it to Abilene. Then, according to Abilene police the men robbed a 19 year-old man of $2000 at the Sedona Apartments by holding him down and choking him inside an apartment.

According to Rick Tomlin a spokesman for the Abilene Police Department, the victim had met Shurlock and Lang earlier in the day and then the three men got into an altercation when the robbery occurred.

Tomlin said APD had received information from the Breckenridge Police Department about two possible suspects in a stolen vehicle from Breckenridge and a possible location. He said during the investigation, they found the two suspects were implicated in the earlier robbery.

Both suspects are charged with Robbery, Possession of Marijuana, and outstanding warrants. The men are being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling over $30,000.
